Attorney Profiles

James "Jake" S. Gilbreath was born in Wisconsin in 1983, but shortly afterwards moved to Texas. He graduated from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. with a B.A. in 2005. Jake then returned to Texas where he attended University of Texas School of Law.

In law school, Jake represented several clients in family law matters as a student attorney through the University of Texas Domestic Violence Clinic. Jake also clerked with Gardere, Wynne, Sewell, LLP, and Baron & Budd, P.C. in addition to working at Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid. Jake graduated with a J.D. in 2009 and was licensed to practice law in November 2009. Jake joined Piper & Turner in 2009.

Jake limits his practice solely to family law related matters.
